Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Luke 12: 49-53
Jesus said to his disciples: “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."

Reflection
Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? The gospel describe Jesus as a troublemaker. The flame of his message and love can separate people. Perhaps it resembled the common war in any nation that sets sisters against sisters, brothers against brothers, and relatives against each other. Jesus reminds us that desire in following Him will be easy and may lead us in confrontation even to our closest people. Jesus knows his mission and it will cost of his own life following this mission given to him by the Father. I pray that all people around the world will have peace in their hearts and minds. Whatever religion we belong may we follow the Jesus as our example to become good servant to other.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “the Spirit of Faith is a spirit that allows one to unite one’s action to the on-going saving action of God in the world”. In connection to the gospel, we should always put ourselves in God’s hands for we know that we will not be in danger. For our founder, St. John Baptiste De La Salle helps us to be united as one. As Lasallians, it is our responsibility to give our hundred percent best in serving others and helping those who are in need.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel
Our inner life will grow.
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de la Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
