Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
John 21:1-6
Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.” So he said to
them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not
able to pull it in because of the number of fish. So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the
Lord.” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and
jumped into the sea.
Reflection
Again, Jesus revealed himself to the disciple that He is alive. In the gospel, the disciples were tired fishing
and not catching any fish for their daily subsistence. Thy started to lose hope. But when they followed what
Jesus told them to do, they were amazed for they were able to have a great catch of fish. God will not allow
bad things to happen to His people. His will for us is always for our good. When was the last time we totally
entrusted ourselves to the plan of God?
Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, Zeal “involves a preferential concern for the poor and the vulnerable.” In relation to the
gospel, the disciples entrusted their lives to Jesus by following His commandment. Like our founder
SJBDLS, he chose to respond to the call of God by providing education to the children and forming is brothers
in the community. As Lasallians, we are challenged to respond to the call of God for mission, to always give
ourselves for others and to nurture the lives of others.
Oratio Imperata on the Threat of the COVID-19 (CBCP)
God our Father,
we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us
and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked to find cure
for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted. May they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them. Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
