Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 16:20-23
Jesus said, “Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but
your pain will turn into joy. When a woman is in labor, she has pain, because her hour has come. But when
her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy of having brought a human
being into the world. So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no
one will take your joy from you. On that day you will ask nothing of me. Very truly, I tell you, if you ask
anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.”

Reflection
In the Gospel, Jesus said to his disciples that they would weep and be sorrowful. The way for us to enter
the Kingdom of God is through the cross. It is better and more blessed to mourn for our sins because it will
yield the fruit of peace, joy, and righteousness. We may experience difficulties and we may have bad
decisions in life but as long as we have faith in God we will rejoice in the end. If the way to enter the
Kingdom of God requires sorrow, what are we going to do to help those who are experiencing pain?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Zeal is the expression of faith in service to human need.” Lasallians are expected to
show values of faith and service at all times. Our faith and service to God will serve as the driving force for
us to do everything with enthusiasm. If we have faith and service in God then we should follow his path
and do things just like him. As Lasallians, we should have zeal for service especially for programs that
aims to help the poor and help the children to have a better future.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
