Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Matthew 15:21-28
She said, “Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters.”
Then Jesus said to her in reply, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.”
And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Reflection
This gospel talks about faith. The woman in the gospel knew that Jesus is the only one who could
help her and she believed in it. Therefore, she showed great persistence and she did not allow the
disciples’ irritation or Jesus’ offhand remark to put her off. In our life, we will face many hardships
and it weakens our faith. But the gospel reminded us to keep the faith, keep on praying because
God is listening and waiting for the perfect time to bestow on us the blessings that we are asking for.
How far can we hold on to our faith?
Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, ‘we are committed to continuous renewal and transformation in collaboration with
others to accomplish their common mission.’ As Lasallians, we are called to be united as we pursue
to achieve our goals so that all of us will be able to see the change that we want to see in our
community. Mission is always a collective endeavor.
Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
