The third installment of the library’s space upgrade was completed on September 2017 when the set of new furniture was delivered and installed at the Periodicals and Theses Section. High tables and chairs lined the windows for individual study space while big tables and matching side chairs were placed in the middle of the room to accommodate group collaboration. A digital board was set up to feature the recent journal issues available and the latest multimedia resources. This is on top of the three (3) new LED TVs installed in the lobbies of the library to inform users of announcements, news, and activities.

Zones have also been established in the different areas of the library to foster environments which suit the diverse needs of users. It was intended to develop a culture of responsible use of space while considering the interests of others whom they share the space with. The Medicine Section was designated as Silent Space where speaking or making noise is not allowed while the rest of the library sections were assigned as Quiet Spaces where there is very little or no noise. The discussion rooms were marked as Collaborative Spaces.

This rounds up the fresh look and feel of the library building by transforming space to be responsive to the needs of the users. The first upgrade happened on October 2015 at the Medicine Section while the second upgrade occurred on February 2017 at the Allied Health and Reference Section.
