Green and go. Facilitators attended a seminar-workshop for the new course which highlights the life and works of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the Lasallian Guiding Principles.

Academics goes green for St. John Baptist de La SalleAcademics is now ready to implement a new course that focuses on the life, education, training, experiences, and teachings of St. John Baptist de La Salle and contextualizes the fundamental aspects of the Lasallian Guiding Principles which would best define who the Lasallian medical and health sciences students are. Code Green: In the Footsteps of De La Salle: On Becoming a Lasallian is a 3-unit course designed to be taken by all incoming freshman students during first term. It aims to develop the distinct quality of Lasallian graduates as Nurturers of Life which sets DLSMSHI apart from other higher education institutions. A seminar-workshop was held on March 1, 2018 at the Executive Lounge to train the facilitators on the course delivery in the coming school year.
College of Medicine holds Inter-Professional Education ConferencesThe College of Medicine is a trailblazer in inter-disciplinary education and cross-professional interaction in medicine and health sciences through the Inter-professional Education Conference.  Presented during the conference are the clinical cases and participants and discussants include students, faculty members, interns, and residents from the different colleges of the Academics and departments of De La Salle University Medical Center. The audiences are treated to a relevant and meaningful exchange of clinical insights between doctors, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and other health sciences practitioners where they learn the competencies required for each healthcare professional under different medical circumstances. The first Conference was held on December 9, 2015 and continues to be a regular activity of the College, the latest of which was held on February 21, 2018 at DLS Villarosa Hall. Past cases and topics involved pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, internal medicine, and online professionalism.

DLSMHSI links with La Salle MadridDLSMHSI signed a Memorandum of Agreement with La Salle Madrid for academic and professional exchange and collaboration on April 10, 2018. DLSMHSI President Br. Gus L. Boquer, FSC, EdD and Vice Chancellor for Academics Juanito O. Cabanias, LPT, MAE, PhD signed the agreement in behalf of the Institute while La Salle Madrid President Br. Pedro Luis Rodriguez, FSC and International Relations Coordinator Jesús Alcoba, PhD signed in behalf of the Madrid campus. La Salle Madrid is another addition to the growing number of affiliates and partners of DLSMHSI for educational, professional, and cultural collaborations. It is located at Calle La Salle, Madrid, Spain.
