Gospel: Matthew 18, 1-5.10
The disciples approached Jesus and said, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, ‘Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me. See that you do not despise one of these little ones, For I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.”

Reflection
We always want to be the best version of ourselves to the point that we outshine others. We fail to remember the essential values on having respect and accept one’s true capacity. In the gospel, Jesus represented children as the key to the kingdom of heaven wherein they hold the real meaning of happiness in spite of challenges. We tend to rely on our knowledge about overtopping people that tends on holding back our simple and modest living. This made us realize to be contented on what we have and don’t seek or compare ourselves on the parts we lack as a person on other people. We just need to cherish and treasure our talents and blessings through believing the plan of God for us. In life, our differences doesn’t matter in the eye of the Lord. What’s important is our faith that we connect through Him.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the spirit of faith invites us to look at life, events, history, as places…..and in ourselves.” In relation to the gospel, surrender yourself to the Lord and He will give you the rest. Changes in oneself doesn’t define you as a person who have faith to the Lord our God. We must be thankful what’s within us; each of us has an own fire burning in our own hearts by trusting Him.

Prayer
Dear God, I humbly ask for your guidance to grant us serenity and peace to all the things that we will do. We ask you, to forgive us to the things that we have been through that we cannot change as we live in our life; replenish our faith through accepting values; virtue in everyday living. We now lift up our hearts and souls to You O Lord, in order to share closeness and fulfillment as a part of Your children. Amen.

Lasallian Prayer for Peace
We pray to you, O Lord,
God of life and God of those who hope!
Listen to our prayer for the whole world:
For peace among all peoples,
For prosperity in all lands.
We pray to you that evil may be overcome
And that all wars may end.
We pray to You especially for the members
Of our Lasallian Family,
Who suffer from war, injustice and intolerance,
And for children and young people who are poor ad neglected.
We pray too, God, for peace in our lives;
In our towns, in our schools,
In our families and in our own hearts.
We pray for a peace that the world cannot give us.
We pray for a peace that will make us whole
And transform us into ambassadors of justice for Your sake.
Lord, give us Your peace! Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
