Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Feast of St. Bartholomew, Apostle
John 1:41-45
Philip found Nathanael and told him,
“We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law,
and also the prophets, Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth.”
But Nathanael said to him,
“Can anything good come from Nazareth?”
Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him,
“Here is a true child of Israel.
There is no duplicity in him.”
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”
Nathanael answered him,
“Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“Do you believe
because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree?
You will see greater things than this.”
And he said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you,
you will see heaven opened and the angels of God
ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Reflection
Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Bartholomew, one of the twelve disciples and apostles of Jesus. The Gospel for today showed that expectant faith, through humility can lead you to “greater things”. Our founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle, with his intellectual prowess and all his family’s earthly wealth decided to give his material possessions in founding the Brothers of Christians Schools and working towards establishing institutions for the underprivileged because he have realized that in this earthly pilgrimage, there are greater things beyond. As Fellow Lasallians, how will we be able to humbly let go of things to receive “greater things’? Saint Bartholomew, patron of people suffering from neurological ailments, pray for us!

Lasallian Guiding Principles
LGP states, “SJBDLS invites us to look at the world with the eyes of faith in such a way that the two Lasallian places of encounter with God are REALITY and the WORD OF GOD”. Expectant faith through humility in seeing our underprivileged brothers and sisters give us the said virtue of Humility, by serving the last, the least, and the lost. ike our Founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle we are invited to become a servant in our own special way through our Missions and simple ways like doing random acts of kindness especially to our unfortunate brothers and sisters.

ONE COMMITMENT PRAYER
Lord Jesus,
You love us all and make us your brothers and sisters.
You call us to follow you.
You invite us to announce the Good News.
Lord, grant us the courage to live our commitment.
Teach us to go beyond our borders.
Teach us to discover you in the lowliest
Teach us to see with the eyes of faith
Teach us to share our mission with all Lasallians
Throughout the whole world.
We make this p Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools,
And through the intercession of St. John Baptist de la Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
