Luke 6:12-19
I these days he went out to the mountain to pray; and all night he continued in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles; Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great
multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came forth from him and healed them all.
Reflection
What is God’s call on your life? Jesus chose his disciples who are ordinary, non-professionals, no wealth nor higher position in the society. Jesus prayed for this disciples. They were chosen because Jesus trusts them. He does not look of what they are, but for what He believe they can do and capabilities as human. When Jesus calls us, it means Jesus believe and trust that we can surpass any challenges in our life.

LGP states that, “…the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to unite one’s action to the on-going saving action of God in the world.” In relation to the gospel, I believe that God is in control of everything that is happening in this world. As a future healthcare professional, I know that God has chosen us to be in this kind of service because He knows what we're capable of. We just need to follow His plans and never ever doubt it because He always knows what is best for us. God always got our back and He is always there to help and guide us through anything, all we have to do is have faith in Him.
